360 Security

Value

If you go for their premium package you will have to part with $13/year for triple device protection, which we think is great value for money. However, what’s even better is that you don’t really need to opt in for their premium package, there are no drawbacks between their Total and Premium membership features, scans are identical and there is no extra optimisation in the Premium app to make it any better. The only difference being that free versions of the software do contain ads, but you can’t complain as this is the way they generate revenue, unless of course you want to pay for their products?

Reliability and Security

With over 500 million downloads you’d expect a solid performer and that’s what you’ll get. The software has been developed under multiple engines to vastly improve the threat detection features. Having the ability to use multiple engines means the software will have a greater chance of detecting more viruses and we can certainty say this works. This product isn’t perfect however, system performance seems to be reduced when the software is scanning and we did feel that there were too many notifications/pop-ups.

Support and Customer Service

Support is offered but not in the same way other companies assist you. There is lack of live chat, no phone number and so logging on or picking up the phone to speak to a real person is not an option. Standard support via email and FAQs is available however but how much can you expect from a product that potentially costs $0.

Features

Even though most of the products they offer are free features don’t drop off. They offer a huge array of tools from antivirus protection, optimization utilities, online and wifi security and many more. If you opt for the Total security you get the identical feature set that you do with the premium version, just that it isn’t ad free. The ability to protect Windows, Mac and android is also a massive benefit.
